Introducing Lac de Beaute. We are an English owned, family friendly fishing lake in the north of France. Set in the picturesque Pays de la Loire countryside just outside of the city of Le Mans and approximately 2 hours from the ferry port of Caen.
Surrounded by Canadian Pines, this mature spring fed lake is approximately 3 acres in size and over 53 years old. It has 4 well spaced swims designed to provide the angler with sufficient space to enjoy their perfect fishing holiday in comfort.
The lake is home to a vast amount of stock and species which include carp, catfish, and also sturgeon. Carp in the lake are up to a whopping 58lb 6oz, catfish up to 102lb and the sturgeon 66lb. There are no nuisance fish in the lake due to regular netting and no poisson chat are present.
The lake and accommodation are situated about a 20 minute drive from the world famous Le Mans race track offering ample entertainment for the family from go carting to museums and much much more. Local amenities are a 5 minute drive away in the village of Eccomoy where you will find restaurants, takeaways, chemist, butchers, bakers, grocers, tobacconist and a very large hypermarket with fuel station. The surrounding areas also offer much to do and visit.
Adjacent to the lake is a modern mobile home which offers excellent holiday accommodation if required and fantastic views overlooking the lake . Offering a large lounge/dining area with English TV/DVD, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. Sleeps 4- 6 guests ( 1 double bedroom, a second bedroom with two small singles and a large pull out bed in the lounge area) The family bathroom has a large enclosed shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Additional accommodation available if required.
But don’t think we stopped there. For the hardcore ‘drive and survive’ angler we have a newly refurbished anglers cabin which has 2 large shower rooms with wash hand basin and toilets, seating area, plenty of work surface and cupboard space for storage plus , fridge freezer, microwave, crockery, cutlery and anything else you could possibly need. Also in the cabin is an English TV and a bank of French and English charging points.
