Tolsons is a 1970’s former mineral pit, it’s been a fishing spot for many decades but in 2025 it was taken over by the Yeadon Tarn Angling Club and they’ve now developed it into a Propper specimen water where Carp to 30lb are present Pike to 25lb reside and Tench to 9lb lurk there are over 110 carp present in 6 acres of water so high hits of fish are not unusual, we have a very good stamp of specimen sized fish often multiple 20s are caught and it’s common to see an occasional 30 grace the net

It’s a specimen only water and is more suited to the experienced angler.

The lake is 6 acres in size with varying depths from 3ft to 12 ft and plenty of features including gravel bars weed beds and more, it’s a lake full of features it’s set in 13 acres of woodland with a high security fence all the way round with 8 different access points and big beautiful wide double swims there are 13 swims to go at and plenty of stalking areas.

Bait boats are allowed and parking it unload gear behind the swims is allowed but return your car to the car park,

The lake is a keyed lock entry and you will have to meet our bailiff to let you in and out please phone ahead using the number in your confirmation email to arrange access to the lake, we’re centred in the heart of the historical town of Otley, just over the bridge next to the river.

LAKE RULES 2026 , it’s your responsibility to read them and adhere to them .

Please let your mates know if they don’t keep track of page . They will be on the gates too .

All anglers to have E/A licence
All gates and locks to be closed at all times NO EXCEPTION EVER
3 Rods maximum, Carp, Pike or Coarse
Minimum 0.37mm dia mainline when carp or pike fishing
Slings and cradles are provided, do not bring any onto site
Supply your own Landing nets to be left on site in a tube on the net store
If using the lake boat a life jacket must be worn and you enter the water at your own risk .
Bait Boats allowed USE THEM SENSIBLY
Book on to fish either through Steve or Jimmy
All rubbish to be taken home
Please use a bucket etc for toilet duties
No fixed rigs, lead must be able to drop off if fish becomes weeded up / snagged .
Micro barb only , semi barbed fine on trebles for pike fishing
Fish to be retained for 30 minutes maximum
Carp care to be used
Particles must be properly prepared, use nuts sparingly
⁠ALL FISH must be weighed and photographed and sent to us for record keeping
Please respect all other complex users at ALL times
Please try to attend 2 work party mornings per year
Please drive around the complex at 10 mph and mind the wildlife
The management accept no responsibility for any accidents whilst on the fishery

All angling kit is your responsibility please fish sensibly.
