The Bottom Lake, Gyrn Fisheries

The Bottom Lake is a pleasure fishing lake and ideal for an enjoyable day’s fishing, and perhaps introducing your son or daughter to the pleasures of Coarse fishing. There are two designated pegs. This lake is stocked with carp of a smaller size. A landing net, weigh sling, and unhooking cradle are NOT provided for each peg, we ask all anglers to use the dipping tank provided and must dip their landing nets and slings.

The individual pegs are provided on a first come basis. Bookings commence at 8.00am and last for 12 hours until 7.59pm. You can arrive at the car park from 7.30am and go to your preferred peg at 8.00am. 24 hour tickets are available on our Top Lake.

There is no vehicular access to the lakeside itself, however the car park is only a short walk from the Bottom Lake. We would advise bringing a barrow to transport equipment if necessary. Disabled access is currently unavailable whilst we work on providing an accessible peg.

Please fish safely, respect other anglers and your surroundings and most of all enjoy your fishing.

The Fisheries Manager may ask you to leave at any time if your behaviour is deemed unacceptable.

Bottom Lake, Gyrn Fisheries

Gyrn Fisheries

Welcome to the Gyrn Estate Carp Fisheries, part of the privately-owned Gyrn Castle Estate. The estate lies within one of the five Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wales and is located approximately one mile from the coast and five miles from the A55 North Wales Expressway.
There are two mature Estate lakes, created as part of the picturesque garden landscaping in the early 1820s. The Top Lake spans three acres and the Bottom Lake, suitable for Leisure fishing during the day is smaller at one acre. The depth of the lakes ranges from 2 ft to 10ft. Surrounded by beautiful private woodlands., there is a stream running in at one end of the sequence of lakes, and a dam at the other. They are stocked with Carp weighing up to 28 lbs, as well as Rudd and Perch.
